Pandora dilators are the most versatile of Femistent's dilator systems.  They have all the Femistent special design features such as the patented carefully shaped nose and the tactile measuring grooves and can also be assembled with a Femistent Grip (see later). But Pandora dilators also  have a separate handle which may be attached as required (see Figure 5).

Pandora dilators are manufactured and supplied together in two parts, the dilator and the handle, each having machined threads and holes as required. The separate handle provides a number of useful advantages, including having two positions into which a Femistent Grip may be screwed. This allows a woman to choose the most comfortable position for the Grip to rest between their thighs when dilating, as the Grip should not be too far down the inside leg since then both its comfort and effectiveness will be reduced. However, if on some occasions a woman simply wishes to use a standard cylindrical handle, then that can be screwed into position on the dilator instead. Alternatively, for a woman with a deeper vagina such as might result from a colon vaginoplasty, using the Grip together with the assembled dilator and handle might be most appropriate.

Says Christine of Sussex:  "Sadly I have regarded the use of a medical dilator as a laborious ‘chore’ - due mostly to the types prescribed by the hospital requiring constant pressure be maintained by one hand, leaving limited options available with the other to while away the time. On first sight the Femistent Dilator is breathtaking, however the result was really encouraging in a number of ways: the length of the dilator and shape of the Grip allowed me to hold it between my thighs giving me both hands free to hold a book, etc.  Also, the dilator grooves not only allowed me to monitor progress they also seemed to help lubrication, the shape of the nose is different and this made it easier to use, and finally the texture/material is less clinical than the glass/clear plastic ones provided by the hospital." 

Like the Selene, the Pandora range comprises fourteen dilators and matched handles which vary only in diameter, from 25.5 mm (1”) to 42.9 mm (1.11/16”). All are available in the Rosegold (R) colour (see below left) with the 27.0 mm (1.1/16”), and 32.0 mm (1.1/4”) diameter versions also being available in the Platinum (P) colour. All Pandora dilators are 162.5 mm (6.1/2”) long, and all Pandora handles are 50.0 mm (2”) long. The Pandora dilators and handles are always supplied together, assembled, and in the same colour.

Pandora dilators (patent pending) are also manufactured from medical grade Tecason P MT plastic (see later), and as with all with Femistent dilators are easy and effective to use and keep clean. All dilators are shipped with a copy of the latest version of the Femistent comprehensive illustrated Usage Advice Document (see below).

The Tecason P MT material used to manufacture Pandora dilators is a very good medical grade plastic with significantly superior qualities to Tecaform AH MT. As such Pandora dilators and handles are designed to have long useful life whilst also being able to withstanding aggressive cleaning, such as being regularly boiled in water, placed into a domestic dishwasher or even in an autoclave. Furthermore, if this material is frequently cleaned in this manner, it should not deteriorate for a long time. As such, Pandora dilators are recommended for those requiring versatility and who need a particular dilator, or set of dilators, for extended periods, for example following Vaginoplasty.
